Wheelchair Tire Replacements

Solid wheelchair tires typically have a life span of 1.5 to 2 year before they start to show signs of wear and tear by cracking or breaking off. But remember, even if the wheelchair is stored and not used for a long period of time, the tires will still age and deteriorate due to the oxygen that hardens the particles in the rubber making it less flexible thus causing it to crack.

It is highly advisable and time saving to change both tires together even if only one tire is damaged because if one side is already cracking, sooner or later the other will also start to crack. Also by changing only one side might cause the wheelchair to lose its alignment because the older worn out tire will have less friction compared to the new tire.

Here at Neolee Rehab Supply, we offer new pairs (left & right tires) of solid rear wheelchair tires for size 12, 16, 20, 22 and 24 inches.

Front casters wheels are also available in pairs for size 5, 6 and 8 inches, excluding the front caster fork. Wheelchair casters are fitted according to the design of the wheelchair body frame therefore please do not change the size of your wheelchair casters as it will cause the wheelchair to have an uneven front and back height.

If you are unsure of the size of your wheelchair tires or casters, please follow the example below and Whatsapp us pictures of your wheelchair for us to see and to check for the available spare parts before coming to us.

**FYI, most wheelchair tires are universal and the wheelchair brand does not matter**

**Neolee Rehab Supply Sdn Bhd does not provide wheelchair modification services**
